Some very interesting changes occurred with this latest patch. Winterspring, Moonglade, Western and Eastern Plaguelands have opened for business. All high-end content, so I would become fine red mist of blood and sinew if I wandered too far in there.
A lot of classes also changed, with Shamans and Druids getting talents this push. I expect to see Warlocks and Paladins get some love next time around. Also, another phase of beta has opened up so be on the look out for emails inviting you to Closed Beta #2!
2 hand weapons really got a push this patch with increases in damage, but it almost looks like they shaved some damage off 1 hand weapons and gave it to the 2 handers. A lot of the armor problems were also fixed this patch, which really helps out the likes of me who go around picking fights with things 3-4 levels higher then myself.
Mana has also changed a bit. Instead of being Intelligence based, it has turned more into spirit based. So a lot of casters are quite a bit pissed at this. I, for one, have seen this help me out a lot more then the way it was pre-patch. There is now a 5 second delay before you start regenerating mana after you cast a spell.
Servers have gone down yet again! You can get the the character select, but look! No characters! Cant even create any new ones. Hopefully it's only a crash and everything will be back up and running in short order. Let's hope they did not do the unthinkable and Character Wipe. <crosses>

World of Warcraft - Observation 1

World of Warcraft. A stunning world graphically. A stunning world that is easily playable. World of Warcraft finally melded one of PC gaming greatest series and the now popular MMORPG genre into one mindblowing, colon rupturing, scrotum tingling game playing experience. WoW takes you into the world of Azeroth, a land ravaged by wars between the Alliance (humans, dwarves, gnomes and night elves) against the Horde (orcs, tauren, undead and trolls).

The game is going through a years worth of testing as we speak. It still has a lot of work to go, but it seems to be shaping up rather well. The size of the game itself, is mindblowing. I ran about 10 minutes in one area just to cross it. This game has taken the size and storytelling of Everquest, the beauty and diversity of City of Heroes, and the fan base of the waste of space Star Wars Galaxy and meshed them all into one kickass game.

I will be having a lot more to speak on the subject along with kind of a day to day run by of my own character and his trials and tribulations as I go along. Until then, gamers, Keep on grinding those levels/killing those zombies/getting the loots/etc, etc!

Solo signing off.

One for the Gipper

Welcome to Slash Random. Emergency exits are located over the wings and to the rear of the compartment. No escape now, my little friends. Your in my world and welcome aboard!

Basically what I will be doing here is expressing how I feel about today's gaming for the PC. If there is any specific games you want me to review, I will be glad to. Toss me an email at Solo.SlashRandom@gmail.com and I will be glad to post you a review as soon as I can. I have years of PC gaming knowledge and while I many not be a licensed gaming reviewer, I have played tons of games and am considered a hardcore gammer in some circles.

This site will be updated with info on my current project which I have dubbed... Project: Warcraft. For now, my friends, I will leave you with a wonderful quote to brighten your lonely Saturday:

"First of all, Papa Smurf didn't create Smurfette. Gargamel did. She was sent in as Gargamel's evil spy with the intention of destroying the Smurf village, but the overwhelming goodness of the Smurf way of life transformed her. And as for the whole gang-bang scenario, it just couldn't happen. Smurfs are asexual. They don't even have reproductive organs under those little white pants. That's what's so illogical, you know, about being a Smurf. What's the point of living if you don't have a dick?" ~Donnie Darko (2001)

Solo signing off.

Solo
